Hit Tims Ford this morning. In fact, it was too dark to setup the trolling spread. Started out trolling with down riggers and TN Thumpers. First fish was a 13 pound Rockfish. As it got lighter, I set out the planer board rods. Fish count for the morning was 17 with the following: Rockfish-5 (9 and 13 pounds were largest), Hybrids-10 (9 pounds was the largest), Walleye-1 (having for dinner), Smallmouth-1 (threw it back).
The hybrids were really surfacing early. I spotted them in a cove and trolled through cove. Lowrance screen was covered with fish. Caught three on the first pass and four on the second.
Have just about made the switch to jig heads from Captain Jim over at striperfun.com.
Shot a lot of video, will post later.
