Fished the Caney this morning from the dam to Happy. Caught somewhere between 40-50 trout with 90% of those on TM's. I just wanted to share a picture of my first fish of the day. Threw a magnet up under one of the waterfalls. Set the hook on what I thought was a trout. Ended up getting pulled around for about 5 minutes by this guy. Quite a fight on 2lb line. Literally any fish will eat a TM.

On another note, they were actually sluicing today. Ive been up there about every weekend for the last couple months and this was the first time I have seen it.

Sorry pic is a bit dark. Just a common carp as far as I can tell.

Yep, nice common. They run from bright gold to dark brown and anything in-between. I love catching them.

ALpha & Pin, I am going to borrow a couple of wilderness's, and use them for a few weeks, while my big boat is out of commission. Just hit some of coves at cedar creek and may try the caney. Do you stand up in yours. I am about 6'1" and 250, will I be taking a bath if I try to stand. Thanks.

I have stood in a Coosa....a Ride 115.....and a Big Game Prowler II. Just to say I did it and see what it is like. Being a large person standing and fishing out of a kayak is not for me. Too easy to go over. But for the smaller guys they really do make a good platform for standing. Just nice to know if you need to stand it can be done.
