Nathan and I fished with JG Auman from TN Moving Waters http://tnmovingwaters.com/ yesterday and had a SUPER day with 31 fish. 29 SM and 2 rock bass.
We were worried about the weather but we only got rained on for 30 minutes Friday morning. The overnight rain and overcast conditions had the big smallies out and about which made for an excellent bite.
Nathan got 4 fish over 17 with the biggest being 18.5. and I got 3 over 17 with the biggest being 19. We caught a ton of fish in the 14-17 inch range too with very few 13 and below.
My friend Robert Haley recommended Nick and JG at TN Moving Waters to me last spring and I've had the chance to go out with them 3 times. I am thoroughly impressed with their knowledge of local streams, patience, and the ability to put folks on quality fish. We missed several VIOLENT topwater strikes and had we hooked up, we would have had at least 2 maybe 3 20+ inch TARP smallies on the day. I still haven't topped Uncle Daryl's 21.5 inch monster from last April.
Pics of one of Nathan's 18's and my 19 attached.
See you next time Nick and JG.
