Abu Garcia Rod Warranty

I had a 2 year old Abu Garcia rod snap on me this past weekend. Fishing on Pickwick and got hung up in some heavy grass. Snapped my rod trying to get free….weird because the rod snapped before the fluorocarbon line snapped. Wondering if anyone has ever used their rod warranty? Wondering if they require a receipt which I do not have.

Which rod was it that broke? I have 6 Veritas rods and haven't had a single issue. Just curious that's all.
