I'm out of town working at the old Reynolds plant in Muscle Shoals. Decided to hit the big river in Florence and got a personal best bass on my third cast from the bank. Hit six feet away on a frog popper. Short trip to the river, but well worth it.

Nice fish but keep at it. By Tenn River standards as of late that is just a baby :D

Congrats, you have to love a good top water bite. Looking at that fish, it needs to eat something. You add some mass to that fish and it's a real pig.

I know it's not big for some of you guys, but I mostly kayak fish for trout, so it's a "Hawg" for me, haha!

You live in the Boro, if you ever want to get out and fish I have been using my kayak a lot lately. I could try and put you on your next personal best.

10 years ago that was a real trophy fish for the Tn River. 10 lbs plus now are very common!!!!

I'd like that Juice. I've been watching your posts and am definitely interested in learning the Stones and working on my bass fishing. Let me know what's good for you.

You got my attention. Which lake on the TN regularly produces 10 pounders?
Wilson and Wheeler are my favorite lakes to fish.

Priest! It's not really on the TN river, but it's in TN. Does that count? I actually had a guy last spring tell me he caught 3, 7 pounders in one day on priest. And no it was not headhunter :D Sambolie, Wheeler and Wilson produce 10-15 pounders all the time, you must be doing something wrong. Get with Merv he can help you out.

Haven't fished Wheeler or Wilson in 20 years. Did not realize the size had gotten smaller over the years. We culled 10 pounders. Of course I am talking smallies and not LM.
Only 10 lber Merv ever caught was a rock (not rock fish) or a log.

Kentucky Lake and Pickwick are producing monsters very regularly. Nearly every tournament has a couple of 10's weighed in.

Don't go down that road again! Below the dam there are some serious Gill...shell cracker hanging around there. I don't know how close you can get now.....but there are some good ones in there.
