Thanks ya'll. It was around 8:00 pm and I made the infamous "one last cast" )
I caught it on a 3/4oz football jig with a Yum Wooly Bullee green pumpkin trailer. The whole setup was Gigantic. It would take an 8 or 9 pounder to swallow it. hehe. I'll post a picture of the jig later, the rods are still in my boat locked up...

Here is the Jig. Not exactly a football jig as I reported earlier. I got it at Academy. I also bit the end off the Wooly Bullee to make it fit like I wanted.

I believe that jig is called a Hoppy's stroker jig. It is made for ledge fishing and it falls backwards a bit when it hopped off the bottom or "stroked".

Largemouth Bass & Smallmouth Bass Length to Weight Conversion Chart......23 inches = 7.6 lbs
But this bass looked FAT. I'd bet it went 8 or better.

I caught a 7.5 pounder last year and this one was most definitely fatter and heavier. I couldn't find my scale or anything to measure girth with. I think it lost at least a pound in the lip when I set the hook )
