Hope Ya'll caught some.
I was in the area between shutes to party cove all night (using black lights)and it was windy as heck but we did catch 5 keeper whites and one Rockfish that I caught on a trout mag with 4 lbs and he went under the boat a screaming then I got his head turned and of course the line snapped at the boat where as I jumped up to 6 lbs and may never load 4 again haha.
I never did see much traffic and no yaks.

Results from the night were chris with 6-7 and I had only one. Big fish he had was around 17.5"
The bite seemed to have been better the closer to sunset you were and worse further away. At sunrise there were catfish for hundreds of yards breaching eating what assume was small shad. Some of them were large blues.
All in fun times and a great workout as we paddle on/off while fishing all the way up until around 8:00 or so in the morning covering lots of water.

Glad you caught some fish. Those cats were killing the shad at Pickwick today also.

That is true.
There was one place where now looking back wish my fly rod was on board. The water had bunches of small fry looking shapes and when i scouped some turned out to be midge shucks post hatching on the surface. In that area a midge hatch was going on and some dinner plate size suction swirls. Thinking a chance it could have been big gills.
Day late and dollar short. Only put it together this morning as 5 midges still were in my car.
