I spent the last 10 days in Germany, Switzerland and Italy and got home Friday and finally fished yesterday. Best day I have had in years. Caught more bass than I could count anywhere from 9 to 16 feet deep and caught them on everything. Even had a couple decent fish. Fished 10 am to 3:30 pm. caught fish on every drop and hump I fished. First drop I fished, I had 2 bass on the same cast on a fat free shad 4 different times.

Are you saying that you had, on 4 different casts, two bass on a crankbait at once?

I had two hangups on the same cast yesterday.

I actually believe that statement. I lost two crankbaits yesterday.

It was My A-rig, I was fishing a shallow flat that I thought might have hyrid/stripe on it so both times I got excited when my rig stopped dead in it's tracks. You need to get a plug knocker, they are worth their weight in gold. I have saved many crankbaits with mine.

Exactly what I am saying. I am still having trouble finding larger bass for the most part, but catching them from just over a pound to about 2-1/2 pounds they are very catcahble. Took a friend yesterday and we had about 45 for the total. I only 2 on one cast once but one of them was a good bass, he came off before we could get a picture though. First drop we pulled up to he caught 8 on his first 10 casts and lost a fish on one of the other 2 casts.

I have probably posted this before, but this is from the late 90's, (I have been fishing drop offs and humps for close to 28 years) my dad and myself, I found a school and asked my dad if he wanted to go. For many years now I almost never kill a bass, but back then my dad wanted some fish to eat, so we kept some. We were only gone from the house an hour and we let all the bigger fish go.

You must be really awesome at fishing. You seem to never have a bad day, every report you post is the fishing day of a lifetime for most of us!! Why aren't you a pro angler yet?

I mean literally it's like every time someone posts a great report, you just recently have had a day where you caught more and much bigger fish.

If you can walk the walk you can talk the talk. Headhunter can flat out put fish in the boat. Guarantee you that.

Somewhat less than browntrout, since I am now the greatest fisherman (which I know I am not, I am one of the most persistent though) according to Jad2t, I used a bunch of them catching all the fish.

I don't fish tournaments. They bring me bad luck. When I was on the best school of fish I have ever seen on Priest, I tried to fish 2 tournaments. Sheared a prop shaft and had a regulator rectifier go out on my Johnson GT 150 that I had never had a problem out of. Tournaments bring me bad luck and I do not have the time or the money to waste.

Jad2t, I have fished for a long time, especially Priest. I have many days where I do not catch a fish or very little, if you would like I will start posting those days also, but as long as I have fished Priest I have a pretty good idea for when to go, to catch I like to fish for. Bass fishing drop offs, humps and flats is one thing I have done for a long time. In recent years, the 4 lb and better fish have become hard for me to find, much less catch. Back in the mid 90's, between a friend I fished with and myself, we would catch 5 to 10 fish in the 4 to 6 lb class every Saturday and Sunday. Now I am thrilled if I can catch one that size every couple weeks. One reason I was so excited is this past weekend I saw more that size than I have seen in a long time. Not a lot, but more.

I believe I posted it, but a couple years ago, I told one friend about catching bass on the drops and humps in Priest and told him how we could catch a bunch (for the most part they would be small, 1 to 2 lbs, but we would occasionally sit and catch them every cast). I took him out 5 or 6 times and we pretty much did not catch A bass. I told him before he went each time that I had not found any schools, so we would be looking more than we would be fishing, lot of time looking at electronics. He gave up on me. I found a couple of schools, took him out and he told me he thought I was lying, but realized really quick I wasn't. It was back in the year when we had 100 degree days in june. Took him a few few more times and we caught them well to. I used to wear Priest out bass fishing in the spring, now I crappie, hybrid and bluegill fish. I don't even bass fish for the most part until end of May early June.

I wish I lived on Kentucky lake or anyone of the tennessee river lakes for the most part, the drop off, hump, deep flat bass bite on one of them can be incredible.

Thank you, but for sure I have many, many days that I do not catch a fish. That is why it is called fishing.

Yea but remember that time, no those two times, when I posted threads all excited because I finally figured out how to catch Hybrids and got into a bunch of 3-4 pounders this Spring? I had a blast catching and eating them and you had been catching 10+ pound giants!!

You even posted pics in the thread to prove that you weren't lying!!!

Post some pics of some 5 lb bass (heck even a bunch of 1 lb bass in my thread) it will not bother me. I love seeing pictures of fish and I could care less who catches them or if they are bigger than what I catch or it is more than what I catch. I try my best to learn from any and everyone who is willing to share.

Jimmy, just those 2 fish you caught are not going to hurt the population plus Those fish are not 4 pounds :) and we need to get you an electric fillet knife!

Yes sir they were! Well, one was. The left fish was 18.5" long and chunky. That fish hit 4. The other was probably upper 3.

Your fish were from Guntersville so they don't count haha

What.... pay no attention to the grass under the water, that was a secret location On Priest that I caught them on back in 96! I also age very well!

I caught/photo/released a bass on Seminole one time and it took two of us to carry the camera back in from the boat. :D

Nice fish photos guys.

I think they were two pounders and you used the old Roland Martin tactic of holding the fish right up to the camera.
