Got out yestarday and went to the dam and all the gates were wide open so naturally I was like we'll there goes fishing. But I decide to stay and caught this stud.

If course and thank you and I seen sum 6 to 7 pound pictures of smallie pull from there this year. So I know it's just a matter of time that I hook into one.

How did the water look J? I know its high but what about clarity? I want to get down there but they are pumping more water than I prefer right now.

Nice one.
The river can be a shockingly good place to fish if you are there when you need to be.

Nice fish. I drove by the dam at lunch yesterday, and the water was raging... As far as clarity, it looked pretty stained to me.

The water was very very stain I did see a ton of gar like a thousand or so and everyone snagging was catching plenty this was the bait I was using I tried several others in the different colors but no luck.

I was at the stairs you just really have to pay attention cause the current is so strong so nothing to play around with by any means espically yestarday with all the doors open. I was questioning it first when I got there but aslong as your careful and make smart steps and be sure to have good footing you should be okay.

Yuupp and isn't it a law that you have to have a life jacket on a few hundred yards from below is the dam?

Nice looking fish! I have used those Storm Baits for years. They are killers on whites and stripers below Pickwick. On use of PFD the rule states from where the warning signs are but at many dams that is 1000 yards.
