Taking the fiance and my 3yr old so to ky lake this weekend. We've never been and just wondering some decent areas to fish. We will be near the Nathan Bedford Forrest state park. Thanks in advance.

The crappie have never really turned on there this year. It's hard to find a bad place to fish on Ky Lake though.

Thanks guys. I'm gonna let the ol lady throw crappie jigs and bettle spins. I'm gonna target the bass unless she gets in to a mess. I figured a swim bait, jerk bait and swim jig would be the ticket.

Ky Lake proved to be an awesome lake. I caught plenty of fish including a 5lb bass. I got on a pattern early in the morning and it worked out till about 10:30 11am. I would post pics but can't from my phone. I started throwing a big hammer swim bait, and would pitch a 1/2 ounce jig into brush piles and would catch fish. I'd pick up the swim bait and throw till the next brush pile, pick up the jig and catch fish. The fish were shallow and in thick brush, but my better fish came off of laid over trees. I didn't get to fish much but what I did fish was productive. Definitely going back soon.

The water had some color to it, and I was fishing the cove off lake access rd in eva tn. I don'tknow where paris is but I hope this helps you. The fish were not shy about biting till the sun got up and beaming down. I didn't try the old railroad there and didn't see many people fishing it either. Good luck to ya.
