Williamsport 4-27-2014

My wife and I carried our 13 year old son to Whippoorwill lake at Williamsport today. Here are a few pics of the biggest ones that were caught. None of them were huge but they all pulled our string and put a smile on our face. I caught some of the biggest bluegill that I have ever seen but didn't get any pics of those. I thought it was funny that all of the bluegill I caught were ripping drag and none of the bass did. They are some stout, mean fish and I love catching them. I was using a 1/16th oz white rooster tail, my wife was using a beetle spin and floating a minnow under a float, and our son was using a 1/8th white road runner. We all had a blast.

Great report! Next time take pics of the huge gills! They are more interest to me than the bass. Haha, congrats on a good day!

Yeah me too MNfisher. I prefer the fight and aggression of a bluegill.

Glad you had a good day. I too would like to see some pics of those Gills....and a length. Of course I am not allowed to fish that lake but just curious.
