Fishing 4/12-4/14 on JPP

I went saturday with a guy I am fishing a tournament in a few weeks. We started crappie fishing near fate sanders and picked up 3 keepers. We went down near hong kong island and picked up 5 keepers and an 18 inch smallie. Keith broke off a huge cat. We decided to bass fish for a bit. He fished a carolina rigged lizard and I fished a bitsy flip jig in black and blue with a paca chunk trailer. He caught one bass on the carolina rig and I got one on the jig. We went to another spot and got one more keeper crappie. We left after that and I gave keith the fish. I went back home and rested and went back out around 5. They really wanted a natural color jig so I ended up fishing a killer klat crappie magnet. I got 15 keepers.

I didn't think I was going to get to go sunday but my uncle's friend called me and wanted me to show him where the crappie are. We got out there at 1:30 and we started casting minnows and bobbers as well as crappie magnets. We fished for 4 hours and it slowly got worse as the day got later. We ended up with 28 keepers. I went back to the house and got them cleaned and sent them home with them. I went back out there an hour before dark and fished until 30 minutes after dark. I got 8 with a huge warmouth on crappie magnets in black/chart. and white/chart.

I went out today to do some crappie fishing. I caught them on about every darn color I had in my box. They didn't really have a preference about which color they would hit of the crappie magnets, as long as they were magnets. I got a TON of little crappie and around 15 keepers. Right as I was about to leave someone asked if they could have my fish ., I said absolutely! I have a ton in the freezer anyway. Fishing should be good by thursday. ... I edited this post ... <'TK><

It is illegal to sell game fish unless they are crappie from Reelfoot which now I think that has changed ... ... From now on just say I will give them to you for a donation .... <'TK>< :)
