Here is a photo I took of page 14 in the 2013-2014 Tennessee fishing guide.
JPP is 30 crappie each day. It doesnt matter if they are black crappie or white crappie or a combination of both. Minimum length is 10 inches.

So, I assume someone said that you were catching more than your limit.......I learned something. I did not know you could only have one catfish over 34".

Actually what happened was I was out with a buddy three weeks ago and told him the limit was 30 (we didn't catch anywhere near that) and he disagreed saying that was way too high...so I thought I would seek out confirmation and for once (don't tell my wife) it looks like I was right. Thanks for the help.

I wish, I may have caught a few over that size but never kept them. Most of my larger catfish come from bass fishing at night and using a black power bait worm and I have not come close to a limit of crappie yet. I think 22 is my best.

Thats a good cat! i need to get in touch with some hardcore catfisherman. I would love to target some giants. 30's, 40's and 50's. I dont know if the cumberland around nashville holds fish that big. Buy me some pool cue sticks for rods and some boat trailer wenches for reels and hit the river! lol

Oh they are there! Caught a flat that bottomed out a 30 lb scale a few years back below OH dam. There are plenty of 20-35 lb flats and blues.

I caught one a few years ago that was as long as my leg, I am 6'3. I had to lay on the deck and drag the fish in the boat because I did not have a net on me. I was fishing a 7" black power worm, that fish slammed it then proceeded to drag me up and down the bank, I was fishing with 10lb mono on spinning tackle.
