Fished from 1030-130 at my usually spot. Caught 10 keepers in 30 fow. The wind was making it tough so we left, picked up more bait and a Hot and Ready and headed to the lower end of the lake.

Drove around till about 3 looking for fish and found them in a wind blown creek channel in 25-27 fow. Caught about 30 more with 26 keepers.

Got 1 over 15", 4 more over 14", and 10 over 12".

Also caught a bunch of bass, drum, catfish, and stripe. It was a great trip.

Nice bunch of fish.

So they are still out in the channels/ledges?

I've got to learn how to find/fish for them in deep water. Haven't done much of that.

Just find the bait. I use my gps to find areas I think will hold fish. Yesterday the wind made it easy. Then I use my SI to find bait, mark it, and drop the spider rig and go back over it.

My goal this year was to use/trust my electronics more. I'm trying not to fish a spot just because I have caught fish there in the past. I drive over/around a spot and if it doesn't looks fishy I go to the next spot and don't waste time.

Very nice day on the water sir. I fished for a few hours today and only caught 3 keepers and maybe 6 total. I was fishing channel edge also. I usually trust my electronics but today I spent way to much time in areas not showing fish. I did find a bunch of Gar up in Jefferson springs on priest. I kept loosing fish while cranking them up and was getting frustrated and then I finally hooked what I thought was the world record crappie....... nope probably 22" gar.

nailman, make sure you request TARP for the 15 incher. 14 inches is the standard for white and black crappie. I have completed SM, rock bass, and white crappie. 2 more gets me the master angler certificate.

14" is a TARP for crappie? I was thinking it was 15". I've probably caught 12-15 over 14" the last month, but that was my first 15".
