Had to fish 4 spots today to find any fish. Started fishing the boils hoping to get into some big white bass...no go there on anything. Went up to the lake and fished a point that has produced well for me but no go there either. Then went over by the lock hoping for some crappie action...nothing there either. I wasn't going home without finding something to give me a fight. I then headed down river a little to fish a spot close to the "Bill Bellis Botel". Crawled down the bank and found a ton of 11-12inch male white bass. In the mix on occasion were some nice chunky Gills. It was a fish on every cast. Don't know where the big sows were but using the UL with 2# test had a ball. It was a beautiful day. After about 3 hours of non stop action called it a day. The whites have not made their big run up to the dam yet. Water below dam was only 43 degrees. All fish caught on a Purple Redemption Trout Magnet.

Way to stick with it. Sounds like it was worth all the effort and patience!!!

Awesome, glad you got into them! That purple redemption is becoming my go to color for all species here lately.

Thanks guys. Tnriver I know you fish down there. All the locals I fish with agree this is the coldest the water has been there for this time of year....that they can remember.
