So a few weeks ago i got the BPS Spring Fishing flyer in the mail, and seen they had one of thier brands of rods for $19.99. Its thier Brawler series of rods. i went up there, checked it out. they had/have a decent variety of rods in different lengths and actions, but i got thier 7'-0" MH heavy which i intend to put to use on some big silvery fish in the next month or so.
anybody ever have one of these rods, or try them out or anything?
i figure for $20 its worth a shot, its fairly stiff, yet has enough play in it as well, plus the handle extends up past the reel seat 4-5" which is a nice feature on the larger rods.

On a serious note. That is the rod I used to catch my first striper on. Not for sure of the weight. It was my first. So on the pee meter , 10 being full release and 1 a dribble it was about a 4.

And should have been at least a 6 or 7! That was a dang big striper! Especially for your first!

glad somebody had a good experience with it, if not, it was destined to be cut in half, jammed in concrete and sank to the bottom of JPP as another crappie....ummmm....carp attractor! LOL
