I have fished Priest for years, but since moving near the Cumberland, I have been trying to figure out how to fish it, and today, had some luck. 5 sauger and 1 big stripe. Mouth of a creek. River was rollin pretty hard, but all fish were near the edge of the current, but not right in it.

Good job. You caught 5 more sauger than me today. I was fishing from my kayak. Got hung up on the bottom and had to tie another jig on. Next thing I know I'm 50 yards from where I got hung up.

Yeah, that current was rough today. I got hung several times and lost 5 or 6 jigs. If I had been in a kayak, I think I'd be as far as Clarksville by now!

If that ever does happen, give me a call and we'll do lunch LOL

Good day right there! Those are some elusive fish... For me anyways. Any particular color they preferred today?

Red/chartreuse is kind of my go to color, so I never tried any other colors. tipped it with a 4 inch finesse minnow.

Thanks. I have often wondered what I'd do if I broke down on the river and had to float down to Clarksville. Hope that never happens, but I might take you up on it someday!
