I headed to 7 points in search of hybrids today. If I hadn't wasted so much time looking for fish I'm convinced now don't really exist (all your pics with them are photoshopped), I might have had an even better day.

It was VERY windy, I was being blown all over the place and the waves got big enough to splash over the side of the yak and I spent the day fishing with a cold, wet butt haha. Everything caught on crankbaits. Total was 7 bass, 2 being smallies and the biggest smallie about 14". Today's catch also included a 17 and change largemouth and an 18.5" largemouth which is the second biggest one for me ever! What a day!

Jimmy thats well done on Priest, I can count on one hand the number of times I have caught 7 or more bass in one outing this year. Nice fish!

Sounds like a great day despite the wind; nice bass!

Thanks everyone. Definitely not typical to catch two bass of that size in the same day on Priest so it was a blessing. In 2014 I plan to get the yak in some better waters like chickamagua and guntersville in search of a real trophy. Merry Christmas to everybody!
