I just now decided that I am going to shoot a huge trophy buck in the morning with my bow, then heading to Priest to catch hundreds of hybrid and striper, then when I am sick of catching all the fish, I am going to find a secluded cove, set up a spread of decoys and shoot a limit of ducks before sundown...yep, gonna be a perfect day. I will post pictures tomorrow night.

Well my day didn't quite go as planned....No bucks, Merv, I already have 2 does in the freezer, going for a good buck now. And the does weren't in range anyways, otherwise i was going to shoot one!
I was on the lake by 11:00, I fished until dark, I fished hard and fished several spots, final tally was 7 hybrid, a handful of whites, yellows, and a few small lgmouth, and one nice crappie. One white was a huge female. Never really established a good pattern, just a few here and there. Only saw 2 other boats all day :D
I never duck hunted...heading to OH to a blind to hunt in the morning!

Sounds like you had a good day Mike.
The other two boats must have had more damn Yankee fisherman. Either that or they are much younger than me.
BTW, Merv probably killed some farmer's Jersey calf thinking that it was a doe.

Were any of those whites spilling milk? Those 4 caught at Pickwick were all spilling....had it been just one but 4 in a row makes me wonder since this whole year has been a little different fishing maybe they will spawn early...I don't know. That female white about to bust with eggs?

No I didn't see any of them spill, and I assume the white was busting with eggs, that or it was stuffed with shad!

REALLY SAMBOLIE?
After me taking you out in my boat in that July heat and TEACHING you how to catch the biggest and mostest crappie you done ever caught in your life, showing you how to filet them faster than you ever thought possible ( I still can't believe you didn't catch on how to do it until the 21st out of 22 fish. God you're dumb!), and buying ice and loaning you my cooler to take them home in (I want that cooler back, BTW), and this is how you repay me???
By questioning my ability to tell the difference between a calf and a deer????
But all that asides, that was the best tasting, most tenderestest deer I ever ate. I have to admit, that heifer bawling at me whilst I field dressed that little deer was a little nerve rattlin.

Merv, you must have someone else in mind. We fished in August (not July). I remember well. I had just been released from the hospital a few days earlier. Not only that I had a tooth abscess and was in pain. The fish we caught could easily fit in a 6 pack cooler. Of course it was already full of beer so the fish went in the live well. You kept telling me how much you liked sardines so I gave all those little fish we caught to you. I remember asking you why you had bandages on your hands and you gave me some off the wall story. I guess that happened in July when you fileted those other fish. I now find that the $250 you charged for guide services was a little steep.
Seriously, that was a fun day. Catching fish is not the important thing. The time spent fishing with friends (old or new) is what counts.

Now SAMBOLIE,
I can understand you not remembering what month we fished.
I hacked the records at Vanderbilt Psychiatric Hospital and their release and admittance records indicate you were admitted into their intensive observation unit in late July and kept there til early September, therefore nullifying your claim of "August" fishing. But I understand your addlement, you are old (bordering on ancient) you know?
And I still want that cooler!
Give it back and I'll take you fishing again!
I'll even give you a special, once in a lifetime, price, just for you .....$249.95!!

You are the man, going out in this weather. Of course you folks down in the souther climates (Nashville) are a few degrees warmer than us Clarksville eskimos, but still...all I thought about was coffee and hoping I wouldn't bust my butt on the ice skating rink my deck turned into while taking the dogs out.
