I only had about 3 hours to fish today so I headed up into the West Fork area. Nothing on the gravel side so I headed to the bluffs side and found some chunky bass. Two keepers, both just shy of 17", and also a 14" smallie. Also caught a little dink largemouth. Watermelon Zoom finesse worms worked deep along the edges of the bluffs was the trick today.
Probably won't be fishing much until Spring due to work, getting to cold to want to go, and my desire to pick up hunting. Can't wait for the Spring though!

Thanks. You need to get a kayak between now and Spring so we can take them to Guntersville!
By the way, the title of this thread is supposed to say WEST Fork. Oops.

Jimmy I have a yak, I just don't fish out of it that much. It's not a sit on style. It's a trophy 126 DLX I got if from my friends sister for 100 bucks last spring. Fishing G ville would be tough for me not to do in my Stratos, although I still don't know what is wrong with me motor so I might be fishing out of the yak more.

I should have been fishing there a few weeks ago. That's where the bass are now in Fall pattern. I may get one more float there this year so ill give you a heads up next time and we can join forces.

Sure thing! We'll all try different things until we find the pattern for the day.

Nice bass Jimmy.
How do you like the liberator and the mount for the depthfinder? I haven't decided how to do mine yet and keep going back n forth between permanent or liberator.

I love it. It's easily removable and very sturdy. Only issue I've had so far is the swingarm for the transducer moves when I'm paddling fast. I keep meaning to tighten down the bolt and nut to fix that.

I am starting to lean that way but haven't really convinced myself yet. The kayak is currently setup for it to mount directly then battery/transducer store inside. But, if I go the liberator mount it can me moved to my Caney boat as well for the in case I don't take the kayak or have someone else with me on small waters.
