Just watched something on KYAfield where they fished the Cumberland and the guide from Cumberland City Drifters said since the Dam has been completed fisheries stocked triploid rainbows.

Those fish should grow BIG up there in a couple years.

In case you wonder what a triploid trout is... basically a fish that don't spawn and just eats all the time not losing body mass during spawn process.

Adam and Sean Conrad have caught triploid bows up in Saskatchewan, near 50lbs so heck yeah!!!

They have been in there since 2011 and have stocked more each year since then. browntrout and I are going to hit it next year. The word we have is that since the dam has been repaired it could rival...or be as good as....the White River. That would be something.....time will tell.

Interesting they stocked those. I have seen those monsters that those guys in Canada have caught. They are freaks

Does anyone know if there are winter tent campsites available on this section of the Cumberland? Also is it a good river to wade on low water?
