Looking to hit a new spot in the kayak on my way home from work Friday. Has anyone ever fished the stretch of White Creek that feeds into the Cumberland (over by Briley Pkwy)? Any advice on what to fish for or places to put in?

Whites Creek wouldn't be my first choice because it has a sewage discharge in it... If I had a kayak I would probably go to the Sycamore Creek recreation area.. Hell, I take my boat there all the time.

Don't know of any place to put in near there. It's a pretty creek, but I never seem to catch much in it. Maybe it's that discharge that's to blame for that? Good luck wherever you go.

Years ago there used to be one of those signs on the bank where they meet. Don't swim, drink the water, possible raw sewage discharge. I can say what is there. The bank between Whites Creek and Briley is an old shell bed. I've found several nice arrow heads walking that bank.
