Woody and I decided it was just too foggy to try fishing this morning on OH. Funny thing is where I live in Goodlettsville overlooking Moss Wright park, it was clear as usual.
But looking to the southwest, I could see a line of fog where the Cumberland river would be.
There'll be other days.....

Bummer. I love fishing in the fog! Especially top water Muskie and striper. Nothing like a big wake and explosion on your bait in the fog!

Yep, it was pretty foggy out this morning but it was actually thicker on the road beside the river; once I got out on the water it wasn't that bad but just to be safe I stuck close to the marina till the sun started clearing the fog some.

It was VERY foggy on OH up by Gallatin, and the stripers were not co-operating either.
You didn'tmiss anything by staying home.

Since I felt it was too foggy to leave the bank, I decided to head below OH Dam this morning. Unfortunately, I didn't check the release schedule before I left the house. When I arrived, there was almost no current and the water was almost smooth as glass. Fog was so thick I couldn't see more than 40 feet in front of me. Since there was no current, I tried a variety of topwater with no takers. Tried football jigs and worms as well with no luck. Decided to head above the dam and had alittle luck there. Caught two short bass on a football jig. They were so sluggish I didn't even feel them pick up the bait. They didn't even fight as I reeled them in, just dead weight. Fog lifted around 10:30 or so and I left. I did see someone in a white 'yak paddling towards the dam as I going up the stairs, leaving. Wonder if it was a fellow forum member.
