I went back out today and I caught only one fish but its the first of the year for me and it was a sauger on my 1/8 oz feather spinner bait early this morning. I was trolling on the side of the little island when I caught the sauger. I also check the cove out in the back with no luck but the bait was there and so was the bass and now the bait is mostly minnows and lots of them. Know wonder nothing wants to bite with so much food in the water and when the fall bite turns on this end of the lake is going to be the hot spot. So till the next time out...............woody

That sauger has my mouth watering! Heading out for an all day trip Sunday to see if I can locate a few of those toothy critters myself! If you don't mind, what depth did you catch that one in?
Nice catch and keep the good posts coming!

Yeah Woody the backs of creeks are loaded with bait, and sure makes for a tough bite. Most of the bait I've seen is small 2" or so. Nice Walleye.

Nope, not a walleye. Definitely a sauger.....you can tell by the mottled colors.
