I took my son out fishing on Old Hickory last evening after work. It was a short trip, but beautiful on the water.
The bass, stripe, and skipjack were all in the jumps big time. Chasing shad everywhere in the back half of the creek I was fishing. I caught a couple nice ones on a 1/4 oz rattletrap on 2 lb test for fun and a good one on a shakyhead. Plenty of small bass also.
My son was most excited by watching a big raccoon feeding along the shoreline. Fun times.

Sounds like a great time Jim. I am working through some battery issues in my big boat so I haven't been out but this reminds me of one night down around Lock 3. Me and a buddy used up all our crayfish we caught for bait feeding a family of raccoon's that were sitting on a boat dock. It was like feeding a pet but I know those things are pretty temperamental.

Sounds like a great night Jim! I am floating at Hamilton Creek at the moment, sipping on a beer, soaking a few bluegill, waiting for something to smash all the schools of bait around me! Lol! Beautiful night to be out!

You sorry rascal!!!! you have to rub it on folks like me that are still stuck at work with no end in sight:(, Nice trip Jim, last week I took my daughter for a two hour duk/night trip to Normandy and she was amazed by three coons feeding on the bank, they finally left when we got within 10 yards of them but got to see them for a good 10 minutes, that was really neat!!
