Fished Kentucky Lake (Cuba Landing) Wednesday. The ramp is shut down, so we put in at Crooked Creek. One small gill is all that was caught.

Wilson Lake on Thursday. The locals say that they are catching stripe below Joe Wheeler Dam, all day, every day. Don't you believe it. Caught 1 stripe about a pound, and one skipjack. Miserable fishing.

My buddy fished Center Hill with live crawfish today. Limited out in thirty minutes on spots. He says the crawfish never touched the bottom before the spots hit em. On another note, Center Hill must be turning over. He says that Walleye are floating on top of the water at daylight. Find the one with red gills and they have just enough life in them to keep them from being spoiled. Just scoop up a limit.

Why would the lake turning over be killing walleye? That makes no sense. Sounds like a problem

I have never heard or even seen this in all of my years ... Don't think turnover has anything to do with this .. Sounds like more the TWRA hatchery released aging broad stock ... Now I have seen this more than once .... With the same results ... <'TK><

That could be right, however the locals seem to think it is a lack of oxygen.
