It was a cool morning with a little bit of haze on the water and the water temp was at 62.7 on the surface when I first put in. There where two kayakers putting in also witch gave me a good morning picture. I found the fish holding in 20' of water waiting for the water to warm. I started with a tube jig under a slip float set at 2' hopeing for a earlly morning jumper but ended up changing to the #5 shad rap and trolling with the bow mount set on 3 speed. It looks like the crappie are starting back up because its getting cooler and I hook up with five nice ones.By this time the water temp has gone up to 77.9 and moving higher as day is getting warmer. I trolled a little and cast a little and as I cross a point in the cove I pick up a nice 18" bullhead catfish and some LM bass then I hook a log and then the lure was gone. So I pick up the rod with the 6" black lizard and started a slow start and stop troll started to catch more bass. At the end of this day I caught and released all my fish in good health for someone else to catch.....woody p.s. I will be back out there tomorrow if the weather permits me too.

Nice looking fish Woody. Good report. Yep....I'd say fall is here. That water seems to be cooling down nicely.

Nice fish, gotta love trolling for crappie...........nice job. Bandits?

Alpha, the spot you fished the White/Norfolk is my favorite location. So many opportunities !! The guides work so hard, and the shore lunches are wonderful ..........what a great trip.
