Hi all - right off the Greenway downstream from JPP dam I caught this chunky 11" bluegill. I was shocked to see this big mama - its the biggest gill I've caught by far. 4# test with white/chart TM under float. I've caught all my larger gills on the white/chart. The weather has been killer the last week or so riding that portion of the Greenway in the mornings!
Also while I was riding across the Greenway bridge at Lebanon Road by Kohls - Metro had one lane blocked on the bridge. They were craning down big cement highway barriers into the Stones. According to the workers there is going to be a State wide Swiftwater Rescue training day tomorrow. After the barriers are in place the Corp is supposed to crank open the gates at JPP to give them whitewater to train on. The area is directly under Lebanon Road bridge. Should be quite the site for the normally placid Stones River. Again this is hearsay from the Metro workers. I'll probably check it out tomorrow.
