Let me know if you want to do it, and I'll HOOK you up with a kayak, not no Dicks kayak neither, a top of the line fishing kayak.

Not knocking on the Dicks kayaks:)

Thanks for invite Jeremy. But my son and I will be on our way to fish the White River in Arkansas. This is one on my bucket list and am really looking forward to it. Have to get in on the next one.

Good luck Randy, I'm sure it will be a memorable trip. These will start to become common and held on Tuesday evenings rotating between Old Hickory, and Percy Priest. This will be a great way for many of us to meet each other, and get to hang out some.

That's great, it will be nice to finally meet you.

I agree although I don't have a kayak it's just closer for me to go out there and meet some of you guys.

Thanks, I have a kayak that is a " fishing " kayak but it's not the best. I would really like a jackson coosa or something like that. If you have one to use that would be better I am all for it. Next time on priest I will try and get together with you guys. the 5pm start time can be hard plus I don't have a camera other than my Iphone and I don't have the scale either.

That's too far from where I work to make it in time. I'll await the next one on Priest and if I don't need to stay late to finish up something, I'll be there! Looking forward to it for sure.

I sold my Jacksons about 1.5 yr ago. I currently paddle the Ride 135 and Commander 120. The 120 is a litttle on the small side with me (220lbs) and gear. The Ride 115 is a great kayak of you're looking for a sit on top that's smaller.
For now we are accepting phone pictures, so you'll be good. I understand stand about the start time, I would love to have my wife fish them but she works 5:30am to 6pm 5 days a week, and works many Saturday mornings until about noon and then on call 24/7. We're going to try swapping between lakes and may lean toward one or the other in the future depending on participation.

I understand Jimmy. The next one will be on Priest. I have a tentative schedule, but haven't posted it anywhere.

I second that opinion since I have the Ride 115 and absolutely love it. I've even been flyfishing out of it, standing up, with no problem. Very stable.

I would love to have a kayak I could stand up in and fish. That is one of the more annoying things about fishing out of a kayak well that and the fact that if I am fishing a worm and the wind is blowing The kayak will spin or drift. Do you guys fish these about every week?

I go once a week, usually on Saturday morning and I'm always fishing out of my kayak. I'm also frequently fishing plastic worms as it's my go-to for bass. On windy days I have a bit of difficulty with the kayak drifting. This can be solved with an anchor or a drift sock to slow you down a lot. I don't have either yet but plan on it. What I do when worm fishing on a windy day is cast in front of me so I'm drifting towards it rather than away since the latter causes issues keeping the worm on the bottom.

It's actually designed specifically to have the ability to stand in. There are pontoons underneath it that allow for this. You'll fall out of it from standing before you'll tip it over from standing. That hasn't happened to me yet but I'm sure it's only a matter of time.

I try to get out every week, and unusually do.
Like Jimmy stated a drift chute, drag anchor, or regular anchor is a good idea in windy times. Also the issue with spinning can be alleviated with a rope hanging off the back of the kayak for a little more drag.

We got rid of the Coosa's because of the tippyness, and the nose sticks up catching a lot of wind, when paddling the nose does a walk the dog action when paddling.

Standing in the Rides is quite easy, and also the Commanders. I hear the Mokens are easy to stand in also.

i picked up a hawg trough, fish grips, and an anchor trolley from Hook1 yesterday. Chris was a really nice guy, and they had a good discount on everything for the truck sale.

i am going to do the retractable leash thing for my anchor. should be a pretty easy mod/install.

Good to hear you had a good experience. The truckload sale was extended until today also. See you next Tuesday.

Alright guys, last event (1st one ever) the winner took home $65 with two others taking home cash. The big fish took home $40 cash, and a very respectable Hook 1 gift certificate.

So far it looks like 10 are confirmed, so payouts should be at least what they were last time.

The more people we get the more money will be paid out 100% payout.

You don't even have to pay to fish. If you want to get more familiar with kayak fishing or fishing in general come on out and meet up with someone.

If you don't have a kayak or gear just let us know before hand and we can arrange a premium kayak, paddle, and PFD. Just bring yourself, rods, reels, and lures.

We are working on some sweet things for 2014, and should really draw some competition in.

Unfortunately due to some events and photography work I picked up, I cannot make it tonight. The photography work is guaranteed money, the fishing is not...:D
