I know short notice.
Tomorrow there will be several of us kayak anglers meeting at Cooks ramp on Priest at 1715. We will begin fishing at 1730 and finish at 2000.
Optional $10/ man and $5 big fish (please bring exact change). This is a no pressure friendly gathering.
If you would like to compete bring a digital camera with memory card as this is catch photo and release, and a measuring device, preferably a Hawg Trough carried by Hook 1 Kayak Fishing Gear in Hendersonville.
Two fish limit and judging the best two black bass with minimum length of 8".
If you would like to come out and just hang out then come on out.
Jeremy
Well thanks to Craig Dye (Geauxfish) our first weekday event went awesome. We had 11 people show, 10 paid participants.
A big thanks to Hook 1 for adding $40 to big fish.
Ryan Fuji took big fish and a total of $65 in prizes.
1st place took home $65 (Craig Dye), 2nd place $20 (Dwayne Southerland), and 3rd place $15 (Ryan Fuji).
A total of $150 given out 100% payout.
We launched at Cooks on Percy Priest at 1730, and everyone was in at the advertised tome of 2000.
The fishing was slow, but we had a great time and it seemed well received.
We will continue to have more of these events switching between Old Hickory Lake, and Percy Priest Lake, and will see what everyone wants to do as winter comes. We will shoot for once a month and maybe more depending on what the consensus is, and looking to keep it on Tuesdays.
We promise to give more heads up for future events.
