Just want to say a big thanks to TK and Jeremy for organizing the Gathering. Also want to thank everyone who brought food and drinks...fried the fish....grilled meat....and just a big thanks to everyone who came. It was a great time. We all sat around talking.......telling stories.....just a great get together. As I was leaving it hit me that there was a ton of fishing knowledge sitting under that shelter. Pick a specie and someone there had a big knowledge base on it. Want an old outboard fixed....someone there could do that. Need info on river and stream fishing...it was there. Need info on kayak selection.....fishing boats....tackle....it was all there. When you think about it just a pretty impressive amount of experience and skills there. Looking forward to the next one....after we've fished several more months and get some new stories...LOL.

Yes, wife and I enjoyed it, great food, great folks. Glad to put some faces with the names here on the site. Always interesting to swap fishing information with one another. That's how you get better!:D

Great time at the gathering. Thanks everyone for the effort, good food, and great stories. Thanks for cooking the fish dirk. Tasty! Jeremy and tk thanks for the organization. Alpha hawk and tacklewoody thanks for all the great lures. I can't wait to try them out.

Anyone wanting to fish the old hickory area near gallatin let me know. I would be happy to show what I know. That said I doubt I can top a bunch of the stories and pics I saw!

Til next time,

Randy is 100% correct ! ... The knowledge under one roof was unreal ... Plus we probably caught and lost a 1000 pounds of fish today under that same roof !! ... You could not have asked for a better day ... Great Weather, great food and met a lot of great people and their families ... We had some Great give away prizes from Randy Goad via Trout Magnet and jigs donated by Mike Dial's sponsor and three gift certificates from Hook 1 ... All very nice prizes and I, as well as the membership thank you ...

Everyone mingled and met each other and especially got to meet Rick Duty Who championed FishingTN's effort to help beat the Corps of Eng. hostile take over of our fishing rights here in Tennessee and the State of Kentucky.

And Lastly I want to Thank Jeremy for a fantastic job He did organizing this event " A job well done" !!!

Here are a few pic's of "The Gathering 2013" and really looking forward to next year !! The site will be 16 years old ... And stay tuned for some pro pic's from Mike ....

Thank you all for making FishingTN.com one of the most successful Fishing sites in the State of Tennessee .... <'TK>< :)

Looks like it was a great time to be had by all! Second year now I've been unable to attend, hopefully I'll able attend the next gathering and meet some fine folks. Even though I was not there, thanks to all the people who made this gathering possible!

Looks like you all had a blast. I had a gathering of my own to attend with my family so I couldn't make it but I really hope to make the next one, especially if free fishing gear is being handed out :D

I want to thank everyone that came out, and was able to enjoy this fine day. I am pleased with how it went and I don't think it could have gone much better. This was much easier than I thought it was going to be due to everyone who wanted to volunteer. I'm not going to thank everyone individually, but I want to thank everyone as a whole. I do want to thank TK for this fine site we have, and a place I feel at home while online and when in person around all you fine people. I want to thank Trout Magnet, Woody (tacklemake), and Chad Hoover with Hook1. I look forward to catching some fish on Woody's hairjigs. The food, fellowship, and weather was phenominal Saturday.

I'm looking for tips on the next one, so if you want to PM me I'll take them into consideration, or if someon else wants to host one they are really easy:) Should we keep it to one, or maybe two? I'm open to any ideas.

Looks like you guys had yet another successful event with fellowship and great food, not to mention some goodies that were given out. I hope to make one of these so I can meet some of you face to face. And get more tips on striper fishing ;)

I truly appreciated the event. I am relatively new to this community but it sure felt like a family reunion. Jeremy and Sarah were great hosts! TK has provided us with a great community to share our common interest. Alpha and TM out did themselves along with Woody and Chad Hoover with Hook1. With all the great swag there should be a lot of success stories or lies for many posts to come and the next event! God bless each one of you and thank you for your kind words prayers over the last few months for my parents.

Thanks to all who made this event happen.
Due to a family illness and a possible trip to KY to deliver a tentative sale of some Craigs List goods I had not committed to attend. The buyer called Saturday am and backed out. My wife called to report that her brother was doing fine. She suggested that I get out and meet some new friends at the outing.
Meet friends I did. Upon arrival I was greeted by TK. As I wandered about meeting others I realized just how wonderful this group is. I feel as if I have a new family.
My new best friend just may be the Snorkster.

Thanks again for the site, planning, food, cooking, gifts and anything I missed.
