I stole this from another web site but thought it was a great idea. I tend to always hook my lures on the guides of my rods. You can get these at Lowes for like $3 for 30. They are cable ties with eyes on them in the electrical section.

That's a great idea!! Eliminates tangles between lures and line when your rods are grouped together. Thanks!

Being in the Industrial Electrical Field for 40 years I started using these about 20 years ago ... They are primarily used for wire bundles and the loop is to tie ID tags on them ... Since all rods are tapered make sure you really cinch them off tight !! If you do not have a tyrap tool to cinch and terminate ... do this.
After you cinch do not cut pigtail with a pair of Dikes ... (Diagonal pliers) This will leave a sharp edge that will cut you !!! ... Take a pair of regular pliers (They are called water pump pliers) Attach pliers to the pigtail point blank ... Like a fish biting a bait right at the coupling and then twist around and around ... the tail will break right in the coupling and you will have nothing sticking out to cut you ... ;) <'TK><

The straps on my boys life jackets are also excellent hook holders...
