The wife and I went to the dam for a couple hours after dinner to enjoy the nice weather. This was my first time at the JPP tailwater and I have to say it did not disappoint.
Caught 20 plus fish and several different species, decent bluegill, couple small/largemouths, rock bass and crappie. Wanted to get closer towards the dam but a large crowd was enjoying the weather on both sides. There is one buoy in the tailwater. All fish caught on bison and orange/chart trout magnets drifted and twitched. All were also released to fight another day.
I hope to get back at some point and wander down towards the bridge and test the water further.
