Tuesday KY lake report,,Took out the belly boat as they (or the rain) have raised the lake level and makes it hard to wade. Caught 4 keeper crappie lost two more good ones, 6 bass total but had a 20 incher all on my little 1/16th homemade spinner. The catfish that i got into last thursday were not there , am just as glad as they are hard on my spinners, but it makes you wonder where they went. Will give another report tomorrow as its my next day off. Gotta hit the creeks before to long but hate to leave the crappie bite.

My wife and I had some luck bank fishing the Grand Rivers area of KY Lake this weekend. The bite has been tough with changing temps, but more so with rapidly changing water levels. We managed a few crappie, red ears, bluegills and black bass. Two special fish were a Yellow/Lake Perch and a fatty read ear that was over 11 in. and weighed 1.24 lbs. Most we taken on the TM (bison color with a chartreuse crappie nibble) under float in 3.5 ft - 6 ft. I've got to hand it to Alpha, the SOS 2# line is the bomb!

Nice mess of fish. I love that SOS line as well. The leaders are brutally tough too for 2lb. Its pulled plenty of gills and bass up through grass mats in the summer on my UL's.

How often do you catch the yellow perch's up there?

Thanks all... That is the first Yellow Perch for me on KY Lake. It's not even in the KY Fish Guide, but it is in the TN. Guide... Lol

I need to check that lake out. Talked with a friend today and the LM are turnin on up there. He caught over 30 silver/blue rattle trap in the shallows and also wacky rigged green/chartreuse worms.

Two gents pulled into the marina on a pontoon with two huge stringers of catfish caught on rod & reel using shrimp. Looks like the cats are starting to move into the rocks to spawn.
