Had no intention of fishing today. Had coffee in bed with my lovely wife and then a late breakfast. Then I walked out to the boat still hooked up from yesterday and had an anxiety attack. Dispatched wifey to make sandwiches and caught some bait. Same as yesterday only better, had seven baits, caught six fish brought a bait home. They hit at 1400 and quit at 1800, same as yesterday. Had 5 fish from 18 to 25 lbs and topped it off with a thirty five lber. Released all in good shape yesterday and today but the 18 lber had undergone a medical procedure before he was released and will show up on the table tomorrow. Old sailor is hot ! Perhaps a Jamesons on the rocks is in order. Ummmmmmhttp://fishingtn.com/images/icons/icon10.gifhttp://fishingtn.com/images/icons/icon14.gif

Great fish Old Sailor! This sure makes me anxious to be chasing those guys! Man I wish I had a boat!
You sure have things figured out! Well done. I am very happy to see you still getting so worked up about catching big fish, even though you have already caught many! Once that adrenaline rush goes away, I will probably quit fishing. But I strongly believe it never will! Awesome work!

I don't have a scale but I don't think I've ever caught one bigger then ten lbs. All I can say is keep at it!

Those fish were in 12 ft of water and super agressive . I missed a fish, lost a fish, and caught a fish all on same bait.

You probably need to take the Snorkster fishing and try to make amends with him, let him see your good side. (Uh, there is one, right?)

Only when I'm fishing. Check out this beauty! Some of those fish were leaking sperm along side boat!

The aggression factor is one of their most endearing traits. Sucks, I've got the boat, but now just need to find the time and money. Hope to make it up there soon though. Good job, thanks for the pics.

Just curious....What type of equipment do you use for live bait.....
I use Penn 320 GTI's with a 6' Heavy Action Harbor Master Roller tip rod strung with 30 lb Bass Pro line....I also use them on the BIG Flatheads like in the pic below......
Not real good when a 5 lb Smallie grabs a 6" Gizzard Shad though....lol

I have a couple of Ambassadeur 6000's on 9' wscmh90-2 whuppin sticks that I use primarily for bottom fishing. I also have a curado 300dsv and a 6000 on BWCL2200 7' tiger lite ugly sticks that I drift live Jacks with. All reels spooled with 50 lb suffix braid, 40lb flouro leaders and 8-o octopus circle hooks. Thanks for asking enjoy your posts.

I have no equipment like what you use. I do have some heavier gear that might work......one rod and reel....LOL. But would consider it a privilege to watch you in action. I am a good net man....LOL.
