I'm renting a cabin on the river this weekend, but they generating constantly. Is the river wadeable while one generator is running? I've only waded when there is no generation, and I'm guessing it isn't the safest thing to do. Anyone have an opinion on this? It's too bad that there is no way to know the generation schedule in advance, or I would have taken this trip at a different time. Oh well.....

Most definitely do not wade under generation. They will pick you up in the Cumberland if you do.

No wading during generation......too dangerous...... IMHO.

Well the good news is that fish can still be caught while generating, probably a better chance at a trophy.

Since I'm going to be bank fishing, I think I'm just gonna use my spinning tackle, rather than fly fish. I've never done anything but fly fish the Caney, so I'm not totally sure what to throw. I would assume that crank baits would be a good bet, as well as rooster tail type lures. What type of lures do you guys think would work well? I'd appreciate any advice ya'll can give. Thanks!

Go below the dam and drift spoons like a Kastmaster. Husky jerks, Xrap, or any suspending jerkbait fished fast enough will work down there too for the trophies.
