Skeg repair

Anybody know someone who can make and weld a new skeg on my 40 merc ? Can get it done about anywhere in fla for 100 bucks. But.......
Hit something coming out of smithfork creek last year and smoked it .

No. I have a skegshield on it ; however, I would like a new skeg welded on. Skegshield can destroy foot !

Yes I Have a friend who replaces them for $125 to $135 depending on Make and model ... (The vendor for the skegs has almost doubled his price :eek:), Larry likes to do all of his welding at one setting ... He has ordered a skeg for replacement already for one of our members.

If anyone needs them replaced let me know via PM ... I need to know the Year and HP of your motor ... If you don't know the year give me the model and S/N .... <'TK><
