Here are the shots I got form Pickwick dam last week. Hope you like! I included a pic of one of 3 choppers that flew over. I love helicopters! Would love to ride in one someday!

Good shots, Mike thanks for sharing. I believe that is a Apache attack helocopter!

Unless you're a catfish or a striper, they're not edible. They're good bait and can be fun on an UL setup though!
Cool pictures Mike!

The big ones are a lot of fun on their own to catch especially when nothing else is biting good. Those are some great shots! Since they finally have the gates closed I need to head back down there.

Great shots! Yep...Apache....they fly over there quite a bit. One of the neatest things I've seen...in the sates.....is 2 Chinooks being refueled by a C130....or in this case a K130...as I fished from my kayak down at VFW Lake. That was some great flying...and a heck of a scene.

I've ridden in Hueys and Chinooks. The Hueys are a lot more fun......especially when they are getting you off of a hot LZ and being driven by a real Flyboy Cowboy.
Riding with some of the pilots was like riding with your sedate Aunt Selma and others were like being driven by Thelma and Louise! Thelma and Louise'ers were my favorite. Loved the "hotdoggers", cause they would come in and get you, no matter what.
My hat is off to ALL the flyboys...and gals!

We lived in PA for a few years for work. My neighbor had a jet ranger. I worked at a lowes there and he came and picked me up my first week everyday. I was the talk of the store for a long time till people got the courage up to ask me who I was. Much to there surprise I was just a guy that had a neighbor with an ego and a helicopter.lol

I rode in a few choppers while in the Navy, during the gulf war and no disrespect but those birds were all scary as hell especially the ch-46 Chinook (twin rotor) .. or shit-hook. The ones we had in the 90's were leftover from the 70's I think ... old as dirt and held together with duct tape and bubble gun. One landing the pilot intentionally tried to make me crap my pants .. he did like a couple axis spins on a very fast decent in the old twin rotor. down onto a ship. Some of those old helo's rattle and shake like hell. I had also rode on hueys and sea stallions.. same as black-hawk i think and some other old anti sub helo and some old thing known only as a desert duck. i was no assault soldier dont get me wrong. I was a corpsman on a ship, and was chosen to do all patient air evac's. No flight pay either. But all and all it was exciting.

I was not serious Jimmy. Back in the late 50's my father took some to a friend (as a joke) and told him they were good eating,
The friend said the more they cooked the worse they smelled. He threw out the skillet with the fish in it.
FANTASTIC PICTURES.

Nice pictures. Pickwick has the best tailwaters of the TN river for all species.

Great shots Mike!
We take the helicopter rides in the mountains at Gatlinburg. I love it especially going inbetween the ridges and flying over a cliff face from the opposite side where the bottom seems to drop out from under you forever.
A couple family members flew them in Desert Storm similiar to the one pictured and my uncle worked with the SOAR unit dealing with them as well.
Those are funs birds for sure but the one my wife deals with you don't want to be on.... its black n gold n white and flies you to Vanderbilt Hospital.

As always, great pics. I have to ask; do you ever worry about dropping your camera in the water? I bought a Canon Powershot to take fishing with me because I had nightmares about drowning my Canon Rebel.

Nope, it's the risk I take to get the photos I want. And I have it fully insured. But would still require paying a deductible.
Thanks for the compliments!

Well, I'm glad you're willing to take that risk because we benefit from seeing those pics of yours ;)
