It is really a good feeling seeing a Politician that understands that he works for the People, not for the part of the Government that think WE work for THEM.....Thank you Senator Whitfield....I dont want to get all Political.......but I think its time for ALL Big Government to understand this.....

T.K.,
Here’s Kentucky Congressman Ed Whitfield’s draft of the bill intended to stop the Corps. I converted it from PDF to WORD, and in that process, there is usually some layout corrections (spaces, margins, underscores), but the text is all there. Note that it is a “Discussion Draft”. It will go through a lot of hands, gather ideas and refinements before it is presented to the appropriate committee. (Note the absence of a Bill Number, and committee name.) Theoretically, it could languish in a committee until it died - or take a number of other paths on the way to becoming law. Even if successful, it will take some time. So, I would encourage your members to applaud Congressman Whitfield, his supporters and like-minded legislators, and encourage them to keep the process moving. Keep writing and calling your representatives offices. Don’t let up!
Where is Bill !! ?? ... <'TK>< !!

At this point, no one should care if it lives or dies. No action will be taken by the USACE until the bill has run it's course. By the time it winds it's way through committee, the commander who is pushing this measure will be retired and it will be a non-issue to the Corps. It's not too early to claim a victory for our side on this matter.
