If you are going to the get together on October 6th and would like to bring an item, please post in the sticky post HERE (http://www.fishingtn.com/showthread.php?t=5398) what you may bring. No need to post under this thread. Please use the official sticky Thread at the top of the Forum page "The October Gathering" Or click on HERE and click on the last page .. .. .
This is starting from scratch here. If you said you were bringing something before the date was changed, then say it again now.

There was a meeting held at TK's home and it was suggested that we all want to keep costs low. So if someone wants to say they are bringing meat, don't expect that you are going to have to bring all the meat. Meat is expensive. That person would be asked to bring enough to maybe feed 4 or 5 people. Not 30 or 40.
If you wanna bring some chips or such, then expect to bring enough for more people than what the meat guys would. Chips ain't as expensive. Make sense?

Do you have an exciting secret recipe mountain oyster raisin cake with strawberry icing? Feel free to say that is what you wanna bring.

Also beer is acceptable if you want to bring your own. Please keep it in a cup. Be discreet and please don't embarrass us all and yourself by getting drunk and acting a fool.

Food has always been a great bonder of people. Have fun with this and let's make it memorable. Great place to meet future fishing buddies, tell lies about the one that got away, or just relax with folks that enjoy the same thing as you do.
After a few replies, I will make a running and often updated list of what is needed and what has been covered.

Thanks,
Jeff ............. Jeff is a 'Gathering Committee member" that has taken on a tuff assignment ... Thanks Jeff . <'TK>< :)

Thanks Jeff, very well put. Maybe everyone will go to the sticky, and read my post about needing the boater, and soon non-boater information. I only have one reply from a boater so far.

Folks there still seems to be some confusion about registering for the "Gathering" Just go to the top of the page and post your request ... If you have guests that are not members of FTI and want to fish with you ... have them register and join the family ... FTI Members do not need to have immediate family members and relatives join FTI to get in on all of the activities.

Just make a post ... Hey!! we are a fishing family here ... You do not have to contact committee members ... Just make your request on the 'Gathering" Post at the top of this page ...

Just say you want to attend ... Options are ... have a boat and will take a non boater and species or not ... ... Also if you are bringing food in the guide lines of Greasy Ham's post please state that ... If not ... Okay on all of the above ... Just come fish , eat and meet the members ...
Have questions ??? Post them on the Gathering post <'TK>< :)
