Big ole spotted bass!

Fished the mouths of creeks and caught this pig at the mouth of Barton's creek. Caught with a ultra vibe green pumkin speed craw T-rigged.

Yeah he put up a good battle, I knew it was going to be a good fish when i set the hook. Biggest spot that I have ever caught!

Difficult to tell from a picture. Yours likely didn't weigh more than 4.5 lbs. Sort of like that cat fish. :D:D:D:D

Nice fish but I have a question; how big do those things get, as in average size? I take it with the state record being 6.7, they don't get that big. And to me, if I caught one, I'd think it was a LM bass. Time to peruse that angler's guide Travis linked for me a while back ;)

Doubt Center Hill, Old Hick or any other place will be able to hang with the numebr of big spots from Parksville Lake and Ocoee below in Polk County. They grow mutants there. I also believe you are dealing with the Alabama strain of KY bass there not the Northern strain of KY bass that don't get as big.

I'd love to just be lucky enough to catch one the size you caught.

I'd say avg being 8"-18" do you guys think that is reasonable with 18" being at TARP fish?

Juggers is definitely an above average fish.

Fishing with 2# test I have had 100 fish days with Spots at Nickajack. But the biggest was around 2 pounds. If you fish right below the dam at Chicamauga you might get into some 100 to 150 fish a day with Spots....but nothing like juggers fish. Between the dam and South Pittsburg Creek they allow you to keep 15 a day. That is just one big Spot! I keep wanting to go to Lake Lanier in Georgia where four and five pounders are common....unbelievable.

Juggers is definitely an above average fish.

I have a pic of one 18 inches my son caught and I consider that a trophy for Center Hill....even though there are bigger ones in there. Yeah his fish is way above average.

Yeah I would guess that fish between 4-5# and the average will run around 2-3 lbs I would think
