Fishing with my nephews

Took my nephews from Pennsacola out this morning for a few hours. Radar 10 and 13 in Firetiger was the bomb!

Was at BP the other day and didn't see the Radar crank baits on the shelf, where do you find them locally? I've been trolling in Bledsoe with bandits 2 and 3 hundreds and have had a few catches all short fish. I would like to see if the Radar will produce for me up here.

Check the Internet-also, right outside of Cookeville there is a really cool hunting and fishing store-I think its called the Outdoor Junction-you should also try trolling the Rebel Deep wee r's and double deep wee r's. Let me know who it goes...

Fatherof4 is right. It is called Outdoor Junction. It's off of exit #290 on I-40. Folks there are super nice. They also have some locally made items and often hard to find items. They're worth checking out if you're in the area.

They are not there at BPro because the Radar's are not a current line anymore. Same with the Rebels Wee series. Rebel discontinued it this year so if BPro has any that is only a leftover stock.

Places like Outdoor Junction and local tackle shops may turn them up but not at Bass Pro.

Thanks for the tips, I have been trolling the pinks in the bandit 2 and 300's but picked up some other colors the other day when I was at BP. Trolling cranks is definitly more expensive, I changed my spools to 10lb to help keep from breaking off. Seems like all the videos and articles point to the pinks so I bought about $65 worth of the two series in colors with pink to start out with. Spent another 75 to get variations in the other colors that seem to be working around here the other day. I'm a dock shooter or brush tightliner type crappie fisherman, but I always like to try different things, this summer I decided to work on slow trolling cranks and pushing (spider rigging). Its always frustrating when you change technique, especially when you know you can go over to that dock on the corner and pull a couple slabs out from under that pontoon boat, but a couple years ago I was just a "brush tightliner" shooting has helped me catch more fish. Now at I'm at another phsae of getting better at the hobbie I love. One advantage also to trolling is I can get the wife out with me, shes not going to shoot a jig up under a dock but she'll sit in the boat with me and watch for a hit on the line, she even is reeling em in if I don't get there fast enough :) it doesn't get any better than that!!!

One advantage also to trolling is I can get the wife out with me, shes not going to shoot a jig up under a dock but she'll sit in the boat with me and watch for a hit on the line, she even is reeling em in if I don't get there fast enough :) it doesn't get any better than that!!!

My wife isn't big on going fishing with me so I'm praying and hoping that once I get a boat, that'll change. I'm thinking that the first time we go out, and she sees the sun rise, sees the scenery and the wildlife, she'll be hooked. That would make me the happiest man on earth :)

I would love if she would join more often. She doesn't like the rocks where I shore fish. But even if she just wanted to hang on the boat and suntan or something! I need a boat! Ha

My beloved isnt a big time angler either, but she will go (in the boat). Its a bit of a struggle to get her up at 5 in the morning but she does. She enjoys the trolling also and we only stop to cast to change it up. Having a hard time learning to troll, it is certainly a "different" technique, and trying to teach her cast and not "toss' a lure. Kindles, cokes and sweet talking helps with the trip as well, lol.
