I shot this at 5:30 am, on my way to pick up some clients on Dale Hollow. It was in the middle of one of the wider sections of the lake. http://youtu.be/61wAaC7XVz8 http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr36/FishFinderGeneral/f8d1162b-3.jpg

I spend a ton of time on the water and have only seen this it the winter. I guess it's more common than I thought...

I totally missed this first time around. I bet that was wild seeing that.
Did you hear anything about them losing fish at the hatchery? I read yesterday about it. The browns/brooks made it okay but lots of rainbows lost due to some water quality issue.

No, that sucks! It makes sense though. The fishing it terrible on the lower end right now. The lake turned over in the spring, which never happens. I can't find bait down there anywhere.

I think that has contributed to the low amount of "catchable" trout that are usually in the Caney and Elk this time of year. Seems like no one is or has fished the Obey in a while so can't really say anything for it.
They said the fish that made it are growing at a slower rate than in previous years causing the rush to stock resulting in a smaller stocking class.
