Hey Fellow Anglers!
My names Hunter Ferguson and I've been doing fishing tournaments for about 6 years now but I have fished all my life. I'm trying to start a Kayak tournament trail here in Tennessee. I wanted to see if anyody was interested and think it was a good idea. Please just leave me some feedback!
Thanks

Hunter,
It is a very good idea, and I have had the same idea, but first I'm wanting to grow the base. I have some connections and could possibly help with sponsorship if we show enough interest. My idea was just to post something and have 100%+ payout one day tournament at different locations until we get 10 or more regulars, and having the tournaments on different lakes/rivers around the state to see where the most interest is. This has been tried before and some have made it and some have not. Texas has a very successful live tournament trail with 20-50 anglers each stop. There are not many stops 6 or so and the series dosen't last long 3 months maybe. You emailed me yesterday and if you are interested in starting something I would like to talk to you.

I am very interested in this. Maybe even incorporate a camp over where we can meet new people with the same interests.

Interested for sure man. Keep me posted on any details and I'll do what I can to help out. I have some connections with the host of a local fishing show and could probably get you some publicity through that. Hope you can get this idea up and running!

Count me in if it gets up and running!
kayakbassfishing.com (http://kayakbassfishing.com) has a monthly challenge series if you guys are interested. The year usually starts off with a crappie challenge (January to March) followed by bass challenges (April to November). Back in January MidTNKayakAngler posted info on the 2012 challenge series (http://www.fishingtn.com/archive/index.php?t-4756.html)…I’m sure 2013 will be the same. kayakbassfishing.com (http://kayakbassfishing.com) is also loaded with great info for kayak anglers.
