I was just wondering if any of you ever have had any luck with blade baits or small spoons below OHD? I will probably head up there Friday and wanted to see if its worth buying them.

I don't know about below as I have never tried it but above the Dam Silver Buddy's have caught me bunches of smallies.
I'd say if you can keep it from hanging up they will work the same.

I agree with Travis. The water is generally to shallow for a bait like down there. You wouldnt be able to work it properly having to reel fast enough to keep it off the bottom.
I will be heading down there this weekend myself. Gonna check on the Sauger bite and fish for smallies.

Have used jigging spoons down there with good success on white bass and striper. In my experience lower flow rates made it easier in the immdediate arrea below the dam. Down stream near the sewage outlet on the deep side of the bar a jigging spoon has worked also.

Yes I use cotton Cordell spoons and hoppys blade bait. They have worked well for me. I was just wondering if any of you ever have had any luck with blade baits or small spoons below OHD? I will probably head up there Friday and wanted to see if its worth buying them.
