We started at 4AM. This one came at 4:30AM, pitch black. It was worth it. It was the biggest fish my coworker ever caught. While slowing, big fish still dwell below the dam....

Nice! Were you down there Sunday morning before sun up? Red Lund? I was in a grey alumaweld xpress fishing in front of the spillway by myself. I only caught 3 kitties.

Good to hear that the big stripers are still around the dam. I almost stayed late into the night on Sunday figuring the big ones would bite after dark, but I had enough fish in the box so I headed home early.

I did have big skipjack out for a few hours with no hits, are you still getting them on lures or bait?

Jim

Caught the big one on a larger shad, maybe 5 inches.
I also pray for open spillway doors. As the lake drops they might open...three doors only release about 1800cfs I think.
Let's hope they don't shut everything off, if they do, we are doomed.

I use small hooks. Large hooks alwas snag. I have been using finess hooks alot but mustad have been the best. I like size 2. I have never lost a big fish on small hooks.
