Hi all,
I fished OH dam sunday afternoon from 2:30 to 7. There were two generators running and no spillway gates open. 4 or 5 other boats fishing the area. I hoped to find some stripers, but they were not there in any number and most folks I talked to were not catching them.
Good news...the catfish were biting great! Lots of small to medium channels and blues on cut skipjack and three big flatheads on live shad. The flatheads were between 10 and 20 lbs so they were quite a struggle to land on light spinning tackle. All three came out of the exact same small hole that I caught flatheads from last summer. Don't know what is down there, but they clearly like it.
My other catch was a fishing pole. The rod was broken but the reel is in great condition. Maybe one of the flatheads pulled it in :)
I got home and watched football on DVR. Much better without all the commercials.
