looking for places to fish in Murfreesboro

Hello, I recently moved to Murfreesboro, and I am having a hard time finding a good spot to fish at. I'm looking for something easy to get to with a clear bank/shoreline, my 4 year old wants to go fishing, and I have spent the last couple of days driving around to spots where there looks like it would be an easy spot to fish, but its not easy to get a little miata down some of those rough roads. I ended up fishing under a bridge on 840, but the rocks prove a challenge, and the shore is hard for a little one to fish without TONS of snags. thanks

Have you tried the stones river greenway? Theres several different spots in Mtown to fish, but I tried the one right off medical center parkway last year with a crankbait and pulled two or three nice little 12-13" bass out of the fast moving water where the small dam is that everyone swims at. Theres a huge parking lot and a paved trail all the way around it too. Very accessable. Be careful on the wet rock by the waters edge though.....can be slick in spots.

edit: Wow. I am oblivious. I didn't notice that nice little greenway parking lot. I only noticed the dirt path on the other side of medical ctr pkwy. I will have to go here next time. Thanks a lot! I really appreciate this.. and I'm sure my son will too.

nice mill dam is off of florence rd.nice parking lot.hike to your right and you will find many fishy areas its a good place to take a kid also
