You may still catch some good channel cats in late pre-spawn mode. Try fishing shrimp up on rocky points and ledges close to deep water. If you're not getting hits in a spot, don't sit there too long this time of year. If I don't get any bites or activity at all in 15 minutes or so, I'll move my bait. I might not move super-far but I'll keep relocating until I find fish.

I have caught several cats on Old Hickory over the past few days using cicada. Used some on jugs putting 3 or 4 on each hook and also fishing them under a float along banks with trees hanging low over the water. I'm sure they would work down there also.

Thanks for the help. But what kind of shrip do u use.
I just use regular shrimp like you buy at the grocery store. I'll buy a couple pounds of shrimp, cook most of them to eat, and set aside some in the freezer for bait. Some people "doctor" the shrimp by setting them out in the sun or soaking them in garlic or doing all sorts of stuff, but I've found that plain shrimp work just as well.
