I'm having problems responding in threads. I can only respond if I select the quote option. I cannot respond in the box. Any help?

There is a "Post Reply" button on my screen. I click it and post. Do you not see that button?

I have that button(using it now) it's the quick reply that gives me problems. No biggie, just annoying. Thanks though!

What happens when you click the Quick Reply button (the one on the lower right of a message that looks like a pencil and paper)?

What browser are you using? If it's the newest version of Internet Explorer, it doesn't seem to get along well with online forum software sometimes. Try clicking the "compatability view" option at the top of your screen.

While we are on the subject of posting issues, how do you post a picture in a thread? I can attach a link to a pic but haven't figured out how to put the pic straight into it. Any suggestions?

In order to insert a picture straight into a post on an online forum, you have to "hotlink" it from a site that hosts images. There are a number of free websites that you can sign up with for image hosting. I use www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com). You can also use Coppermine, Flickr, or even a site like Facebook or Myspace.

First you upload your picture to your account on whichever site you choose. Then, to link it to a forum, you use html "image" tags. You can do this two ways. The first way to do it is automatically, by clicking the little "insert image" button on this page right above where you type in your text. It's the icon that looks like a little mountain. When you click the "insert image" button, a box will pop up where you can enter the URL where your image is located.

The second way to do it is the "old fashioned way," by typing in the html image tags. First, type img in brackets. Then paste in the URL for your image. Then type /img in brakets to turn off the image function.

When you click post, the image that you linked to will show up embedded in your post.
